The 2009-2010 Szabo Lecture

Each year, the Upper School hosts a number of named lectures that, in most cases, honor legendary teachers from Hackley’s past. For instance, the Naething Lecture honors Arthur Naething, the beloved English teacher and department chair who challenged his students at the end of each class to “go forth and spread beauty and light.” This year's Szabo Lecture, named in honor of legendary Hackley science teachers Kathy and Paul Szabo, will be given by Dr. David Berry, Hackley Class of 1996, during Upper School Community Time on Wednesday, February 3rd. Dr. Berry will be delivering remarks entitled “Engineering a Sustainable Future” to the Upper School students and faculty.
