The Hackley Upper School (Grades 9-12) provides a friendly, supportive environment for its 380+ students. It features a college-preparatory curriculum that builds coursework around students’ interests and ultimate educational goals. Though our curriculum is challenging and our students are bright and motivated, the atmosphere in and out of classrooms remains collaborative, not competitive.

Faculty members frequently meet with students outside of class; as a result, students are encouraged to seek out their teachers for assistance, consultation and guidance. The relationships students forge with faculty are friendly and strong and last long after students become alumni.

The Hackley community is founded on everyone showing concern for and interest in one another. Thus, our students feel supported and comfortable trying new things – they take full advantage of our offerings in athletics, music, drama, art, and dozens of student-run clubs and organizations.
