Allison Pataki ’03 Discussed Her New Book The Traitor’s Wife
The Hackley Alumni Association and the Hackley Parents' Association held a book reading, reception, and book signing for New York Times bestselling author and Hackley alumna Allison Pataki ’03 on Monday, April 7th. Allison discussed her new book The Traitor’s Wife, a riveting historical novel set in the Hudson Valley about Peggy Shippen Arnold, the wife of Benedict Arnold and mastermind behind America’s most infamous act of treason.

Code.org Founder Hadi Partovi '90 Visits Hackley
On Friday, April 4, Hackley graduate Hadi Partovi '90 offered two presentations, one to our Middle School and the second to our Upper School. Hadi and his twin brother Ali co-founded the non-profit group Code.org. This organization has become a leading and influential national voice working to raise our nation’s collective awareness of the need for our youth to be prepared with the foundational technical knowledge required to meet a future driven by technology.

Hadi Partovi ’90 goes to Washington
Hackley alumnus Hadi Partovi founded Code.org with his brother Ali '90. Code.org's Hour of Code last month had 20 million users, including Hackley students & teachers. Hadi appeared before Congress on January 9, 2014, to help boost computer science education in US schools, and his congressional testimony was a big success. House Science & Technology CommitteeChair, Congressman Lamar Smith announced during Hadi’s testimony that he would sponsor the Computer Science Education Act, and he urged others to support it too. Allison Pataki ’03’s first historical fiction novel is published
“The Traitor’s Wife” by Allison Pataki is a riveting, historical novel about Peggy Shippen Arnold, Benedict Arnold’s cunning wife and the mastermind behind America’s most infamous act of treason. The story takes place in and around the Hudson Valley. Fellow Hackley alumna, Margaret Copeland ’04 is the cover model, in case you thought that perfect profile looked familiar. The book can be purchased on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, & Books-A-Million. Allison will visit Hackley on Monday evening, April 7, 2014, 6:30 PM, for a reading and reception to discuss her new book. This event is co-sponsored by the Hackley Parents Association and the Hackley Alumni Association.
