Hackley’s founders wanted to create a school that would welcome people of different faiths and honor those differences. So, although Hackley has no specific religious affiliation, there is also no policy that suggests that religion or matters of religious culture should be excluded from school life. We believe that understanding of different traditions and the sharing of ideas is essential to true education. |

The 4:30 p.m. dismissal time in Grades 7-8 reflects required participation in after-school sports and study hall. The 3:10 p.m. dismissal time in Grades 9-12 marks the end of classes, however upper school students have varying commitments which require them to be at school later. |

| Q. | Does Hackley have any transportation? | | A. | While Hackley owns some small buses used for miscellaneous student transportation, daily student transportation to and from campus is generally provided by the public school districts in which our families reside. |

| Q. | Does Hackley have after-school programs? | | A. | Yes. Hackley offers an Extended Day program to families of students in grades K-5. The Extended Day program runs from Lower School dismissal until 6:00 PM. It offers a homework room as well as playtime supervised by Hackley faculty.
In addition to Extended Day, K-5 students are invited to sign up for numerous after school enrichment programs, ranging from Yoga to Chess, as part of LEAP (Learning Experience Activities Program).
Students of all ages also have the opportunity to enroll in music instruction through the Hackley Music Institute.
Extended Day, LEAP and Music Institute classes are offered at an additional charge to families
Fifth and Sixth graders who need to remain after school for various activities can take advantage of supervised study hall until the late bus at 4:30 PM.
The academic day for students in grades 7-12 extends until 4:30, so no after-school program is necessary. |
