Roark Redwood ’95 on joining the Copper Beech Society and why he chose to include Hackley in his estate plans: “I left Hackley a smart, strong, educated, empathetic, and happy person because I was treated as the individual I am. For this my gratitude is undying.”
Jacques Wertheimer ’60 reflects on his and his wife Lynne’s decision to include Hackley in their estate plans: “We have a debt to the past and a responsibility to the future and to our children and their children, which is why my wife and I have included Hackley in our annual giving and charitable trust programs. For as a great man said, “The future depends on what we do today.”
Eduardo Cue ’69 on the job.
Eduardo Cue ’69 on planning ahead for Hackley: “In the fifty years since graduating, Hackley has never been far from my mind. Over the decades the two basic principles the School taught me – to strive for excellence and show empathy for others, as the inscription, “Enter Here To Be And Find A Friend”, so marvelously illustrates – have taken on added meaning. And as I travel in an increasingly violent and unjust world, I think frequently of the peace and hope symbolized by The Hilltop.”
