Hackley Lower School students engage in weekly curriculum-related computer activities designed to enhance the core curriculum.
Moving from basic to more complex challenges over their lower school years, students learn to use increasingly complex software and hardware at each lower school grade. Learning activities focus on developmentally appropriate tasks in the areas of algorithmic thinking, problem-solving, and integrating computer science elements with learning activities from the homeroom and science classrooms. Basic computer programming is introduced later in lower school.
