New Records Set at NYS Championships

Congratulations to our Hackley Track & Field athletes who set new records and established new personal bests at the New York State Championships.

The girls 4x400 Meter Relay Team (Luisa Stalman '17, Princess Ohia-Enjia '20, Kiara Abbey '21 and Hannah Urken '17) set a new Hackley School record, (4:04.33), surpassing the record set last year by Nur Momani '16, Gabriella Zak '16, Julia Stevenson '16 & Luisa Stalman '17 by a margin of two seconds.
In the boys competition, Onye Ohia-Enjia '18 yet again broke his own 400 meter record. In the Champion of Champions race of the best athletes from private, public, Catholic and city schools in New York State, Onye placed second overall with a time of 46.95. This time, breaking the coveted 47 second mark, puts Onye in the top 20 of his peers in the entire country.
