Despite Weather Girls Golf Comes Through in Late Charge

The Girls Varsity Golf Team rolled conference rival Riverdale for their first win of the 2018 season. Battling both Riverdale and the conditions, the Hornets prevailed with a 4-1 victory. Read on.

With the wind howling and the temperature dropping below 40 degrees, the Hornets heated up. Senior Captain Cosima Boettner won the last three holes to claim a 2 and 1 victory. Playing alongside Cosima, 8th grader Calista Santomero also won the last three holes to cruise to a 3 and 1 win. Alex Cooper (another 8th grader) jumped out to an early lead and held on for a 3 and 1 win. Junior Sam Rosenstein was 1 up in her match to help secure the team victory.
