Agricola Romanus!

The sixth-grade Latin class has a tradition of performing the Latin version of “Old MacDonald Had a Farm” (“Agricola Romanus”) for the fifth grade during spring trimester.
The 6th graders each chose an animal and made a poster with an illustration and the animal’s Latin name. They learned the Latin words to the song, practiced it in class, and finally performed the song with posters and animals noises for the fifth grade during Workshop on May 16. This is a highlight of the Latin 6 year, in which the students have fun with the language and display their love of Latin for the community. (Watch the video clip.)
