Hackley Track & Field

The boys and girls track teams continue to improve in personal performance, with many athletes earning All-League recognition. There is excitement for what the future holds for the program. Read on.
The girls team saw many personal bests and a record be broken in Ismene Germanakos’ throw of 113’5” in the Javelin. Kiki Abbey ’21 won the triple jump at NYSAIS which is a for Hackley in over five years. The Sprint Medley relay team consisting of Caroline Stevenson ’18, Kiki Abbey ’21, Jasmyn Phillips ’21 and Princess Ohia-Enyia ’20 will be heading to Nationals for their outstanding time this season.

The boys team also saw major improvement throughout the season. The team is seeing more consistency throughout the entire program and is very young. Notably, Onye Ohia-Enyia won the Ivy title in the 200 meters. In addition, Jonah Gorevic broke the 3200M record set by Matt Pulle in 1991 (9:52) by running a 9:44.50 on Saturday, May 5th at the Joe Wynne Somers Lions Club Invitational.
