Athletes of the Week, 10/1

Athletes of the Week for the week of October 1st are Karin Bridger ’19 (Field Hockey), Patrick Schulman ’20 (Boys’ Soccer), Doubles Team of Kit Greenberg ’19 and Sadie Nipon ’21 (Girls’ Tennis), and Matt Zampolin ’19 (Football).

Karina is the current leading scorer on the Field Hockey Team with 14 goals and 5 assists. In the past three games she has netted four goals and one assist to lead the team to a 9-1 record. Karina is the Hackley School record holder for career points.

Patrick has started the second half of the season in amazing fashion between the pipes on the soccer field. In his last three games he has let up just three goals and has posted two shut-outs in his last six games.

The duo of Kit and Sadie have been absolutely solid for the Girls Tennis Team who now post a record of 7-3. The doubles duo has not lost a match in Ivy League play and are touted as the one of the best doubles pair in independent schools in the surrounding area.

Matt has an outstanding performance for the Hornets in various roles this past week. Matt had a receiving touchdown, kicked two successful onside kicks, and kicked the game winning field goal with two seconds remaining versus Montclair Kimberly Academy.
