US Debate Update

The HS PDP league was founded by Hackley in the Fall of 2016 and draws on schools from Westchester, NYC, Connecticut, and New Jersey. This past weekend’s tournament saw 4 Hackley teams, including our visiting student Sergiu Ciavoi from Romania who is a debater in his country. Kiri Fitzpatrick, Zara Y., Zach Couzens, Jack Rosenthal, Lily Napach, Matt Traum, Liam Gonick, Dylan Ormsby, Niky Dhakad, and Michael Potanin debated 4 topics over the course of the day. Kiri Fitzpatrick was the top speaker from Hackley and Lily, and co-captains Matt and Liam were undefeated and came in 2nd overall.
