Strong Start for HGVT

The team recently defeated a very strong opponent in Riverdale in a close 3-2 match, which was Riverdale’s first loss of their season! Newcomers Grace Rainero and Asahi Goods have been important members of the starting lineup, contributing a great deal by winning important matches. In addition, the team’s seasoned veterans, Alex Gray, Sadie Nippon, Maya Miller, Sam Rainero, and Audrey Pizzolato, are all playing solid tennis and have helped HGVT rise to the top of the Ivy League standings. Senior co-captains Maggie Broaddus and Leah Holmes have been fantastic leaders and really helped set the tone for a successful season.

Overall, the team prides itself on their effort and smarts on the court, knowing that few opponents will outwork them or outthink them. The team is looking forward to continuing their strong start in the coming weeks!
