The Year of the Rat

Hackley Middle and Lower School students celebrated the Lunar New Year this week as they enjoyed performances of music, dance, and face-changing given by three Chinese artists on January 14th (in the Lower School) and 15th (in the Middle School).

Lunar New Year, the most important festival for 1/4 of the world's population, is widely celebrated in China and many other Asian countries, such as Korea, Vietnam, Laos, Singapore. It is also celebrated worldwide in regions and countries with significant overseas Chinese populations.This year’s Lunar New Year lands on January 25th, and it is the year of the Rat.
