Hackley Fencing Continues Era of Success in JCHW
The Hackley Fencing program continues to see success in 2019-2020 as the new fencing studio has helped build the growth and strength of the program. Four Hackley teams are in the hunt for ISFL titles.
The Hackley Boys foil team is in 1st place with a season record of 6-0. Individual rankings include Maxwel Lee ‘ 22 (1st) 13-1, Max Bryant ’21 (2nd) 13-1, Max Calman ’22 (3rd) 13-1.
Boys Saber is also in 1st place with only one loss (4-1). Individual rankings include Nicky Wind ’22 (1st) 14-1, Sam Sanders ’24 (5th) 9-4.
The Boys Epee team is in 2nd place with a 5-1 record. Individual rankings include Sam Perlman ’20 (2nd) 15-2, James DiStefano ’22 (4th) 12-4, Henry Beyrich ’22 (5th) 12-5.
The Girls Saber team is in 2nd place with a 5-1 record. Individual rankings include Julia Magliato ’23 (3rd) 13-2, Becky Steinberg ’22 (5th) 10-5.
The Girls Foil team is in 5th place (with a winning record of 4-3), and the Girls Epee Team is in 9th.
