Learning about Lunar New Year
On Tuesday, February 4th Upper School Chinese 5 students visited with Hackley second graders to teach a lesson about the Chinese/Lunar New Year, connected to the second grade Social Studies curriculum.
The Upper School students shared a Google Slide presentation including information about the Chinese/Lunar New Year and traditions of the holiday. The second grade students were eager to learn and repeat Chinese words and build a Chinese lantern with the support of the Upper School students. What a fun, cross-divisional collaboration!
