ISRP Seniors present at WR-JSHS

Seniors Josh Saha and Yingshyan Ku joined 550+ students from Westchester/Rockland County to present their scientific work at the Westchester/Rockland Junior Science and Humanities Symposium on Saturday, Feb 8, 2020.

Josh was one of 12 students selected to present a physical science Powerpoint presentation for his work fusion energy research titled “Neutral gas and resonant magnetic perturbations as seen by correlations between optical and magnetic sensors on HBT-EP.” Josh’s work demonstrated a novel method to visualize plasmas by correlating high speed videos of a plasma with the data from magnetic sensors.

Ying presented a poster of his research titled “Demonstration of stem cell plasticity in damaged colon cancer cell lines,” where he investigated whether or not different cell lines could behave as tumor stem cells when colonic damage was induced in mice. Congrats to both of them for their hard work in IRP over the past three years!
