Empty Bowls: Stop Hunger!

Hackley students and faculty across all three divisions made bowls in this week's Empty Bowls event,  part of a collaboration with the Clay Art Center in Port Chester to raise money and awareness of hunger and food insecurity in Westchester County.

The bowls will be sold at a pot luck lunch in Rye NY. later this spring. All of the money raised will be donated to local food pantries and soup kitchens.

Approximately 200,000 people, or 21% of Westchester County residents are hungry or at risk of hunger, including 60,000 food insecure children.
