Upper School Debate Team Competes in National Tournament
The Hackley Upper School Public Forum team participated in the National Speech and Debate Season Opener tournament held virtually by the University of Kentucky on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
Sophomore Zara Yusaf, Juniors Michael Lee, Sid Shah, and Zach Yusaf, and Seniors Ben Aybar, Ben Kirsch, Arav Misra, and Ishaan Ratliff all gave strong performances. Ben Kirsch and Zach Yusaf advanced as far as the semi-final round, earning gold bids to the prestigious Tournament of Champions. Congratulations to the team for their hard work and great performances!
