Faculty Spotlight: Jared Fishman, Hackley History Teacher

Upper School History teacher Jared Fishman was invited to Georgetown University to deliver a virtual seminar on the topic of “Why Games Work―Roleplaying, Games, and Simulations as a Learning Tool.”

He shared his observations, teaching style, and pedagogy with nearly 50 professors, students, and gaming enthusiasts. Thank you to Sebastian Bae of GUWS (Georgetown University Wargaming Society) for hosting. Over the next month, Mr. Fishman will deliver two similar presentations at Westchester Community College and the New York State Library Summer Reading Program meeting, where he will discuss game-related thinking, his non-profit HMGS Next Gen, and the possibility of future collaborations.
