Athletics Highlights #8
This week's highlights feature three winter season Athletes of the Week.
Alessa Mendoza ’24, Girls’ Basketball: Alessa, who plays point guard has started the winter season strong. In three games she has an average of 20 points per game and 5 steals. Alessa was also named to the Columbia Prep All-Tourney Team last week.
Max Hardart ’22, Boys’ Swimming: Max, a Brown University commit, broke the Hackley School and Ivy League record on Friday in the 200 Free. His time of 1:41.82 is a full second faster than any student has ever swam at Hackley School.
Clifford Chapman ’24, Wrestling: Cliff has started the wrestling season on a strong note going 3-0 with all three victories by pin at the Horace Mann Quad meet on December 3. His pins helped lead Hackley to a 2-1 finish on the day with wins over Trinity, and Riverdale Kingsbridge Academy as a team.
