Allison Pataki is the New York Times bestselling author of THE MAGNIFICENT LIVES OF MARJORIE POST, THE QUEEN’S FORTUNE, THE TRAITOR’S WIFE, THE ACCIDENTAL EMPRESS, SISI: EMPRESS ON HER OWN, WHERE THE LIGHT FALLS, as well as the nonfiction memoir BEAUTY IN THE BROKEN PLACES and two children’s books, NELLY TAKES NEW YORK and POPPY TAKES PARIS. Marya Myers '03 is an early literacy editor and author of two children's books, Nelly Takes New York and Poppy Takes Paris, with Allison Pataki. Having worked with children in a broad capacity, including teaching, coaching, tutoring, and developing curricula for classrooms across the country, she became inspired to combine her passions for traveling and teaching into storytelling. She graduated from Yale University with a major in history and received her master's degree in early childhood education and special education from Teachers College at Columbia University. She lives in Boston with her husband, Rob, son, Robby, and daughter, Maeve.
