ISRP Students Present at Symposium

On February 5, Hackley’s Independent Science Research students—seniors Daniel Cai, Dionne Chen, Joey Nadol, and Daniel Zhang—presented their science research projects at the Westchester Rockland Junior Science and Humanities Symposium, among more than 350 other projects from the region.

  • Daniel Cai presented his work on analysis leading to beyond standard model physics.
  • Dionne Chen’s presentation on understanding the relationships between behavioral inhibition in infants and shyness and social anxiety disorder in toddlers won 3rd place in her Regional room.  She is invited to the Upstate JSHS Fair on March 8-9, 2022 to present a poster.
  • Joey Nadol won 1st place in his local room for his work on improving the detection of exoplanets. 
  • Daniel Zhang’s work on creating a machine learning framework to identify candidate drug targets for Alzheimer’s disease won 2nd place in his regional fair room.  He is invited to present at the Upstate JSHS Fair on March 8-9, 2022 with a chance to go to the National JSHS fair.
