Hackley Welcomes Two New Fellows to the Hilltop

Please join us in welcoming Hackley's new Teaching Fellows, Lakshmi Jai and Christina Wang ’18!

Lakshmi joins us as a recent graduate of University of Illinois, Chicago where she studied biomedical engineering with a concentration in neural engineering. She’s interested in all things STEM and is happy to be back on the east coast. Christina is a Hackley alumna. This spring, she graduated from Bates College as an English and Politics major. Both of our Fellows will assist with our Hudson Scholars program this summer.

Hackley’s Teaching Fellowship pairs Fellows from diverse backgrounds with dedicated mentor teachers on site, promoting growth and cultivating rich learning experiences, and preparing the small cohort to ultimately work in Independent School settings. The Teaching Fellowship directly supports a key pillar of Redefining Excellence—to build for the future, cultivating the next generation of independent school educators. It also supports the Hiring and Retention goals of our DEI plan, developing ways to attract candidates of color, and diversifying faculty and staff at our school and beyond.
