Athletes of the Week – Week of Sept. 26

Varsity Cross Country: Fox Quattrone ’25
Fox put forth incredible effort at the Bowdoin Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 24, placing 3rd for the Hackley Hornets in the varsity race. His 19:26 time on the hilly 5K course is over a minute and a half faster than his previous 5K this season. This jump in time really benefits the boys' team overall. Congratulations to Fox on a “breakthrough” race!

Varsity Field Hockey: Avery Leighton ’23
Avery has been a major part of the field hockey team’s success this year. A three-year starter in goal, she has been a dominant force for the Hornets. In her last three games, she has posted shutouts, with an average of five saves per game. At this time, Avery has had four goals scored against her in six contests this season.
