Athletes of the Week – Week of April 24

Every week, the Athletics department highlights some exceptional Hackley Hornets who are helping to spur on their teams.

Girls’ Lacrosse: Brooke Koffler ’25
Brooke had 24 goals and five assists in the past four games for the Hornets. She also had 26 draw controls to lead the team. She has been instrumental in our play so far in the season. Brooke is currently our leading scorer, with 38 goals and 17 assists on the season. She is a powerhouse all over the field.

Girls’ Lacrosse: Lila O’Brien ’24
Lila had 17 goals and five assists in the past four games, including a season-high seven goals against Convent of the Sacred Heart. Lila also had 19 draw controls this week. She is dominant in the midfield and is an integral part of the Hornets’ defense, as well as the team’s midfield and offense. Lila has 36 goals and 14 assists on the season and a total of 45 draw controls.

Boys’ Golf: Jake Hendelman ’24
Jake was the medalist and individual champion in his matches against Poly Prep and Collegiate this past week, shooting 37 and 41 against them, respectively.

Baseball: Sam Suniewick ’25
Sam pitched a complete game no-hitter in a 3-0 win over Horace Mann. He also hit a triple that put three runs on the board for the Hornets.
