Athletes of the Week – Week of May 1
Every week, the Athletics department highlights some exceptional Hackley Hornets who are helping to spur on their teams.
Softball: Gabrielle P. ’27
Gabrielle caught for the first time ever due to an injury, and she was fantastic. She also had a double and a triple that resulted in three RBIs for the team in Wednesday’s 8-4 win.
Boys’ Tennis: Teddy Roberts ’23 and Alexander Chorny ’26
This doubles team has won three matches in a row, including a 3-2 win over Riverdale.

Boys’ Lacrosse: Cliff Chapman ’24
Cliff scored his 100th goal in the game against Fieldston on Wednesday. This year alone, Cliff has 50 goals and 17 assists. He is currently ranked 2nd in Westchester County in goals scored.
Baseball: Rodrigo Severin ’26
Rodrigo went 4 for 7 this week offensively, which resulted in four RBIs in two games.
Girls’ Lacrosse: Eleanor Neu ’23
Eleanor had 10 goals and one assist in the past four games. Integral on our draw control and possession all over the field, she is a dominant player on offense and defense, forcing at least five turnovers each game.
