Code.org Founder Hadi Partovi '90 Visits Hackley

This organization has become a leading and influential national voice working to raise our nation’s collective awareness of the need for our youth to be prepared with the foundational technical knowledge required to meet a future driven by technology.

Hadi shared his experiences as a computer scientist introducing students to current trends and future developments that will likely create dramatic change to our world and to the lives of every individual. He shared information about the increasing demand and national need for computer scientists, and urged all to consider learning more about programming.

In our Upper School presentation he selected a willing volunteer from the audience to create an easy computer game using one of the programming environments from the Code.org website. Hadi was engaging, entertaining, and informative, and it was great to have one of Hackley’s own return to share his passion and his story.
