  • An Evening with Peter Smith '91

    Please join us on Monday, November 13 at 6 p.m for a special concert with jazz musician Peter Smith ‘91 at Hackley. Peter, an accomplished pianist, composer, arranger, songwriter, and music director, will discuss about his new album "Dollar Dreams," his career, and experience on the Hilltop and will play his favorite songs for the Hackley community.   • Cocktails in Washington, DC

    In early June, Hackley brought the Hilltop to alumni in the DC area. Alums from the Classes of 1965 - 2017 gathered for afternoon cocktails at the DC landmark, Old Ebbit Grill. Special guests included former faculty members John Van Leer '65 and Anne Van Leer and Julie and Dick Lillis! A special THANK YOU  to the DC Engagement Committee, 
    Kenda L. Kittrell Chavis '91, Brewster Thackery '87, and Anneka Van Leer Pilson '97, for helping organize this amazing event. We can't wait to see you all again next year!
  • Alumni Family Hilltop Picnic

    Alumni from the Classes of 1965-2020 returned to campus in May for the Alumni Hilltop Family Picnic co-hosted by the Advancement Office and the Hackley Alumni Association. It was an opportunity for alumni to return to the Hilltop and enjoy a fun day on our beautiful campus with their families. They toured the campus with Student Ambassadors, played games organized by Middle School Alumni Connect Club members, toured the orchard and apiary (Hackley's collection of bee hives), and caught up with old friends.   • Alumni Wine Tasting in NYC

    On May 10, alumni from the Classes of 1956 to 2020 came together at the beautiful Penthouse 45 in NYC for the  ALUMNI WINE TASTING hosted by Hackley's very own Mike Kimelman ’56 and Gregory Kramer of  Voix de la Terre Wine Community. Alumni enjoyed delicious wine and stunning views, caught up with each other, and learned about European winemakers as well as grapes, vineyards, pairings, and much more. Thank you to Neil Pilsner '74 for allowing Hackley to use his amazing event space and to Mike and Greg for sharing their knowledge and wine with us.

  • Brunch & Connect - Launch of the Just In Time Mentor Program

    On April 30, alumni and Upper School students gathered to launch the "Just in Time Mentor" program at Brunch and Connect. They dined on chicken and waffles, played games to break the ice, and exchanged stories about themselves and their time on the Hilltop. They also learned about this new program that allows alumni to connect with current 11th and 12th-grade students in a meaningful way. It promotes student-initiated pairing with an alumni mentor to foster relationships and opportunities for social and professional connection.
