Reunion Committees
This year, we are celebrating years ending in 0 & 5
As a reunion committee member, you play a pivotal role in making your milestone celebration unforgettable. From bringing classmates together for Alumni Day to organizing special events and encouraging class participation in reunion giving, your efforts create meaningful connections and lasting memories.
- Reach out to classmates to join Alumni Day festivities, including the reunion lunch, Alumni Cocktail Party, and your class’s pre-reunion or after-party.
- Promote and support reunion giving.
- Help confirm and update contact details for your classmates and reconnect with alumni the School has lost touch with.
- Collaborate with fellow committee members to make the weekend special by planning your class’s pre-reunion or after-party.
- Use your personal networks and social media to build buzz and excitement around your reunion.
- Provide photos and a recap of the reunion weekend to the Advancement Office for inclusion in Class Notes.
Alumni Class Reps
Class Reps are part of a tradition of alumni leadership at Hackley. Class Reps play a vital role in Hackley’s tradition of alumni leadership. By giving your time and energy, you help your classmates stay connected, build networks and maintain ties to the Hilltop. Your contributions make a meaningful impact on our alumni community.
- Serve as liaison between your class and Hackley, helping to keep classmates connected to one another and the School.
- Encourage class participation in Hackley Fund giving and the reunion class gift.
- Reach out to collect updated email addresses and contact information from your peers.
- Help reconnect “lost” classmates and bring them back into the fold.
- Gather news and photos for Class Notes, Hackley’s alumni publication — a great way to share updates and stories across distances and decades.
- Keep your class informed about Hackley events, news and initiatives.
- Encourage event attendance — a personal invitation from a classmate can make all the difference!
- Serve as a member of the reunion planning committee in your reunion year.
Independent Science Research Program Speakers
Alumni with past or present experience in scientific research are warmly invited to participate in Dr. Andrew Ying’s Independent Science Research Program. Whether you’re an undergraduate, graduate student, professor or researcher, you can inspire the next generation of scientists by sharing your work. Visits can be held in person or virtually, providing students with valuable insights and career-shaping experiences. If you’re interested in speaking, please contact Dr. Andrew Ying.

Networking Mentors
The Hackley Networking Initiative connects mentors with alumni seeking career advice or insights into specific fields or industries. Through one-on-one informational interviews, participants discuss careers, industries and life experiences, fostering meaningful relationships and professional growth. Interested in mentoring fellow alumni? Volunteer as a mentor.
Host a Masterclass or Alumni Discussion
Share your expertise and passions with fellow alumni by leading a masterclass or hosting a discussion, either in-person or virtually.
Examples:
- Masterclasses: Dessert-making, photography, Finance 101
- Discussions: Immigration, international law, genealogy

Senior Project Host
Each May, Hackley seniors embark on a capstone learning experience through our Senior Project internship program, a graduation requirement. Alumni have played a vital role in hosting these internships, and we’re excited to grow this tradition.
This three-week program (May 5 to 23) offers students a chance to explore career interests and gain hands-on experience. Internships involve 45 to 60 hours of work, ideally in person, with virtual options available. Interested in hosting? Contact Margie McNaughton Ford '85.
Young Professionals Committee
The Young Professionals Committee connects recent alumni (graduated within the past 12 years) to Hackley and to each other. Members help foster community through social events, networking opportunities and engagement with the School. The Young Professionals Committee Co-Chairs are HAA Director Alex Gluckman '16 and Carolyn Santangelo '18. For more information, contact Margie McNaughton Ford '85.
- Plan and host social events, including educational programs, community service opportunities with Hackley students, and the annual Young Alumni Summer in the City in New York City in June.
- Encourage attendance at local and regional Hackley events and networking gatherings.
- Encourage this cohort to participate in the life of the School.
Hackley Alumni Association Board
The mission of the Hackley Alumni Association is “To serve and empower the global Hackley alumni community by engaging and connecting alumni with each other and the School.”
The HAA maintains an endowment that supports Hackley and its students through grants where they are most needed. When donating to Hackley, you can choose to direct 25% of your gift to the HAA Endowment, which is separate from the School’s endowment. This fund supports students, faculty and alumni events like the Alumni Holiday Reception.

From the HAA President & Board Members
Living our Mission: The Hackley Alumni Association seeks to serve and empower the global Hackley alumni community by engaging and connecting alumni and the school.
This Mission Statement guides all of the work we do, from engagement events to our philanthropic endeavors.
Connecting at Events: We’re more active than ever and looking to bring Hackley to you by building a network of regional volunteers to plan more pop-up events across the country and give our fellow alumni more opportunities to reconnect with the Hackley community. We can’t wait to see you (near or far from the Hilltop)! The HAA Board would love to hear your ideas for new and exciting events — join the regional engagement teams!
Giving to support each other and the school - The Hackley alumni association endowment: The HAA Board has maintained and grown this endowment over the past few decades to support the HAA mission. When making your gift to Hackley, please check the box to direct 25% to the HAA Endowment to help us continue this work! Here’s how we think about the impact of the HAAs grants on an annual basis:
