Success Beyond the Scoreboard
While striving for victory is a natural part of competition, success is ultimately measured by growth and teamwork. Hackley’s coaches, many of whom are also active faculty on the Hilltop, challenge student-athletes to maximize their potential — mentally and physically — while modeling sportsmanship: being humble in victory and gracious in defeat. As a proud member of the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS) Athletic Association, Hackley Athletics maintains a strong tradition of excellence across all sports.

For Hackley students, athletics are a vital co-curricular experience. The lessons learned on the courts and fields — teamwork, perseverance, leadership and resilience — prepare our students to take on life’s challenges with confidence and character.

Meet the Duo Behind the Desk
Director of Athletics Jason Edwards and Athletics Department Assistant Antonette Napoletano are the pair who keep the athletics office running with precision, good humor and a genuine commitment to student‑athletes. From coordinating practices and games to supporting students, coaches and families, they’re the first faces many visitors meet and the steady hands behind every busy season. Prospective families may not know them yet, but they’ll quickly see how essential these two are to the rhythm and reliability of Hackley athletics.
Jason shares, “I love coming to work every day as I know our students are going to give us everything they have on and off the courts and fields of play. From our coaching staff to our senior admin team we all work together to make sure our students have the best in athletics.”
