This week, Hackley reached a key milestone in the construction of the Center for the Creative Arts and Technology as the last steel beam was placed on the building, completing the structural phase of the project. Members of the Hackley Community came together on Thursday, Feb. 1, to celebrate this milestone with a topping out ceremony.

The Independent Science Research Program recently had the honor of (virtually) hosting Professor Bruce Kirchoff, author of the program's textbook, Presenting Science Concisely. During his visit, Professor Kirchoff presented his research on plant morphology in Zingiberales, the order of plants that contains bananas and ginger.

November was a busy month for the Hackley debate program! Students participated in the NYDL tournament on Nov. 4, the Scarsdale Invitational tournament on Nov. 11 and the first HSPDP tournament of the season on Nov. 18, where Hackley had a collective outstanding performance, securing the top spot for the most wins in the tournament, including the only two undefeated teams.
