Hackley School
AFER classes have started bird watching for the Cornell Project Feeder Watch, which Hackley has participated in for 13 years. Senior JP Ngbokoli even got a chickadee to land on his hand!
Classes will each bird watch once a week and submit their data to a nationwide citizen science project that monitors bird counts at feeders.
This is part of AFER’s bird unit, where students watch such movies as the Pale Male documentary and “The Big Year” and learn over 30 bird calls and 50 IDs.
