Ninth and tenth grade public speaking students in Mr. Teacher’s classes recently shared about themselves and their process of exploring identity through presentations of original spoken word pieces in the form of “I Am From ...” poems, penned and delivered by the students themselves.
Students also shared personal anecdotes and artifacts from their own lives; sketches and drawings revealing what they choose to share (and what they choose to conceal) about themselves; and information on their musical identities via curated personal playlists.
