Hackley School
Hackley senior Sophie Huang was recently named a “Top 300 Scholar” in the 2026 Regeneron Science Talent Search! Sophie was recognized for her work in using a yeast model to understand factors that might attack DNA in patients with Coats Plus Syndrome.
The Regeneron Science Talent Search is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math research competition for high school seniors. In November 2025, five of Hackley’s Independent Science Research Program seniors — Ethan Deng, Sophie Huang, Phillip Ianchulev, Nima Jones and Elan Suttiratana — joined about 2,600 students nationwide to submit their individual research projects. Congratulations to all five of our seniors for their dedication and the hard work they have put into their respective projects!
