Young adult nonfiction author Deborah Heiligman visited the Upper School Oral History and Storytelling class on Jan. 29 to share the stories of the many people she has interviewed for her books, as well as interviewing tips and techniques with students, who are embarking on their own storytelling projects.
Heiligman is the author of Charles and Emma: The Darwins' Leap of Faith, Vincent and Theo: The Van Gogh Brothers, Torpedoed: The True Story of the WWII Sinking of the "Children's Ship" and, most recently, Loudmouth: Emma Goldman vs. America (a love story).
