Hackley School
Hackley’s Fencing team had an incredible day at the ISFL individual championships held at Horace Mann in January, with six fencers medaling at the tournament.
Most notably, eighth grader Ella Z. won the tournament in girls’ foil, and senior Sam Sugiura took home the silver in boys’ saber. Sophie Huang ’26 also took home bronze in girls’ saber.
Other medalists included Ula Yang ’27 and Maggie Sichel-Outcalt ’29 (fifth and eighth, respectively, in girls’ foil), and Tian Cheng Wu ’28 (eighth in boys’ saber). Congratulations, Hornets!
