Upper School

Sternberg Library

The Sternberg Library is a vibrant place of learning. The physical space, located on the second floor of Goodhue Memorial Hall, supports and encourages readers from 5th grade through adults and provides a research base for students, faculty, and parents.
The library houses thousands of items including books, magazines, newspapers, and DVDs. Electronic resources that can be accessed from anywhere include over 40 databases, eBooks and audiobooks through OverDrive, and digital magazines through Flipster.

Upper School students can use the library during their free periods. Although the space is primarily for study and research, the library also offers opportunities for students to unwind. Weekly “Maker Monday” projects, a variety of board games and puzzles, and several reading-related contests give students the opportunity to destress during the day. The Upper School librarian can often be found in classrooms and computer labs throughout the school collaborating with subject teachers to teach important research and evaluation skills in support of the curriculum across the school community. Students can also schedule time with the Upper School librarian for individual help on research assignments.
