  • Lower School Science Teacher

    Hackley School seeks a Lower School Science Teacher for September 2022. The Lower School Science teacher is responsible for teaching Lower School Science in grades 1-4. The Science teacher also serves as a liaison with the Kindergarten classes to support and develop the K science program. The Science teacher works with various faculty members (classroom teachers and specialists) to support Lower School interdisciplinary studies in homerooms as well as in specialist classes such as technology, library, and art. The Lower School Science teacher also serves as the Lower School Garden and Nutrition Coordinator.

Hackley is a nonsectarian coeducational K-12 independent school located in Tarrytown, NY, 20 miles north of New York City on the Hudson River. Founded as a boarding school in 1899, Hackley enrolls around 840 students in grades Kindergarten through Grade 12, including approximately 30 five-day boarding students in Grades 9 -12. With over 40% of our faculty residing in school housing, Hackley combines the community cohesion of a boarding school with the stimulation of a day school, all in close proximity to one of the great cities of the world.
