  • Upper School Teacher of Spanish

    Hackley School seeks an Upper School Teacher of Spanish for a one-year appointment in the 2025-2026 academic year. The preferred candidate will have a strong background in the target language (BA in Spanish required; graduate degree preferred). The ideal candidate must have experience teaching Spanish at the middle and upper school levels. Other responsibilities include being an academic advisor to middle or upper school students and contributing to the extracurricular life of Hackley’s Middle and/or Upper School.     Hackley School seeks a Database Administrator to work in the Advancement department. This is a twelve-month, salaried position. The Database Administrator provides direct support to Advancement staff, manages gift processing and reconciliation with the Finance Office, and oversees data across integrated platforms such as GiveCampus and other third-party fundraising and engagement tools.   • Independent Contracted Cello Instructor

    Hackley School’s Music Institute program seeks an Independent Contracted Cello Instructor to provide individualized instruction to students K-12 on a weekly basis through the school year–September through May, excluding school holidays and winter and spring breaks. During the year, instructors may be invited to coach or play with ensembles/orchestras/bands and are compensated at the hourly rate.

    Hackley School seeks a Director of Auxiliary Programs with an ideal start date on or before October 1, 2025. This is a twelve month, salaried, administrator position.

    The Director of Auxiliary Programs is a strategic leader for Hackley’s non-academic offerings responsible for cultivating, growing, and managing key programs such as Hackley Summer, after school initiatives, facility rental opportunities, transportation needs, and more. Hackley prides itself on having a strong auxiliary program framework that is aligned with the School’s core values and mission. The approach is predicated on finding key strategic partners who best align with Hackley’s culture.  The Director is a key member of the School’s Operations Team, working collaboratively with colleagues in Dining Services, Buildings & Grounds, Information Technology, Finance and the Infirmary. The Director of Auxiliary Programs is the primary point of contact for Hackley families involved in our programming as well as other external constituents and will provide excellent customer service and represent the School at the highest levels.

Hackley is a nonsectarian coeducational K-12 independent school located in Tarrytown, NY, 20 miles north of New York City on the Hudson River. Founded as a boarding school in 1899, Hackley enrolls around 840 students in grades Kindergarten through Grade 12, including approximately 30 five-day boarding students in Grades 9 -12. With over 40% of our faculty residing in school housing, Hackley combines the community cohesion of a boarding school with the stimulation of a day school, all in close proximity to one of the great cities of the world.
