R.C.D beaten in convincing fashion

Two first half goals from Tucker Van-Eck and Ian Jacobson followed by two second half goals from Sam Rinzler and Patrick Wertimer led HBVS to a comprehensive road win over Rye Country Day. The first twenty minutes of the game were evenly contested but Hackley began to get the uppper hand when Tucker scored his first Varsity goal from a corner by Ian Jacobson. Shortly afterwards Sam Rinzler was brought down in the 18 yard box and Ian slotted home the penalty kick. At the start of the second half Patrick Wertimer played a through ball to Sam who finished left footed into the far post. Patrick then scored his first Varsity goal when he chipped the Rye goal keeper from 30 yards out. A convincing victory that sets the team up nicely for two important road games later this week.
