Indoor Track and Field

Hackley Boys and Girls Indoor track team, with 37 students competing at 14 meets, both finished third at the Ivy Championship meet, and four athletes competed at the state level. Our athletes set eight new school records this season. Read on for details.

During this season eight school records were broken including: 300m by junior Onye Ohia-Enyia (34.69), 400m by Onye Ohia-Enyia (49.44), 600m by Onye Ohia-Enyia (1:22.53), 4x200m boys (1:34.98) by senior Craig Johnson, Onye Ohia-Enyia, senior Amin Mustefa, senior Winston Britton, Shot Put by senior Ivie Uzamere (36-9.25), Weight Throw by Ivie Uzamere (49-0.25), 600m by senior Luisa Stalman (1:45.83), 4x400m girls (4:40.97) by eight grader Kiara Abbey, junior Bridget Barsanti, junior Lexi Schechter, Luisa Stalman.

Four students competed at the New York State Meet - Ivie Uzamere in shot put and weight throw, senior Jordan Patrick in weight throw, Amin Mustefa in triple jump and Winston Britton in 55m dash. Ivie placed fourth in the weight throw.
