Hackley Girls Track & Field 2017

Hackley Girls Track & Field continued its standard of excellence by finishing as runners up at NYSAISAA and securing a 3rd place finish at Ivy championships.
The team had tremendous senior leadership in the form of Ivie Uzamere and Luisa Stalman who both broke school records. Ivie won the discus and shot put title at NYSAISAA and the Ivy Championships, breaking the meet record in the discus at both events. Her personal best of 114’0” at the Clarkstown Gold Rush meet was also a meet record. Luisa Stalman lowered the school record in the 400m to 57.40 on her way to winning an Ivy title and placing 2nd at the NYSAISAA championship. Camille Butterfield finished her Hackley career with a 3rd place finish in the 2000m steeplechase at NYSAISAA championships and, along with sophomore Olivia Curran, leading the distance team. The team enjoyed tremendous success and is sure to continue the tradition of excellence with its many talented 8th and 9th grade athletes.
