The Hackley number one doubles tennis team of
Cosima Boettner ’18 and
Kit Greenberg ‘19 went to the NYSAIS finals this past weekend, losing a close three set match to the eventual champions. The duo was hampered by injury for a good part of the season which made this accomplishment of making it to the finals such a remarkable achievement.
Pat Walker ’18 did everything for the football team this past Saturday in their league championship football game. Pat stepped in to be our punter and averaged over 40 yards per punt, he made a game changing interception on defense and he recovered Fieldston’s last ditch on-sides kick to put the game away for good. Hackley was victorious 38-24, winning their second consecutive MIFL championship.
Isabelle Thomas ‘19 has been the go to player on defense for Hackley Girls Varsity Soccer this season. She has not missed a single game and is considered one of the best defensive players in the league.
The senior field hockey captain Lexi Schechter ’18 came back from an ankle sprain to get an assist in an important Ivy League matchup last week. Her midfield play in the 3-1 defeat of Fieldston helped locked up the fourth consecutive Ivy League Championship for the Hornets.
Will Crainer ’19 was an important part of the Boys Cross-Country Team that secured its highest finish ever in the Ivy League Championships this past weekend. His 14:01 time put him 15th overall in a race that included over 80 competitors.
