Senior Katie Philpott has a hat trick in 6-2 Win

HGVS Senior Katie Philpott scored in the first 2 minutes of the game and continued her scoring route scoring again in the 6th minute. After Poly Prep missed a PK off the crossbar, HGVS took firm control of the game as Senior Sophie Mayeux scored her first goal of the season on a hard shot outside the 18 yard box. EVeryone got into the scoring action with 8th grader JoJo Miller scoring the first goal of her career for HGVS on a beautiful cross from Senior Kendra Epstein to Katie Philpott who laid a great ball off for the goal. Katie Philpott scored her hat trick and 3rd goal as a through ball found her feet from Sophie Mayeux. Sophomore Katie Maguire also scored her first goal of her HGVS career on a corner kick from Sophomore Alana Cohen. Junior Trish Gorman secured a 1st half shutout for HGVS and Katie Maguire took over in goal giving up 2 goals.  HGVS looks to continue their win streak on Friday against Holy Child at home.
