Katie Philpott has a hat trick in win over Trinity

HGVS came out strong against Trinity away at Randall's Island. Senior Katie Philpott scored in the 4th minute of the game off of a beautiful left footed cross from Freshman Laurel Cassidy. Sophomore Alana Cohen got into the scoring action right before half in the 32nd minute when the ball deflected off a Trinity defender and landed at her feet right inside the 18 yard box. She placed the ball one a one touch shot over Trinity Keeper Taylor Vonk's head.  Sophomore Dominique Alpuche scored right before half showing composure on a cross by Katie Philpott and placing the ball in the corner.  Katie Philpott netted her 2nd and 3rd goals of the game in the 1st ten minutes of the second half on a diagonal ball by Freshman Sarah Walker.  She found the back of the net again on a corner from Senior Sophie Mayeux. HGVS looks to continue their play tomorrow against Fieldston.
