Upper School Mentors

A key component of Hudson Scholars is our dedicated Upper School mentors who volunteer their time during the four-week summer session and throughout the school year.

During the summer, these mentors actively support teachers in the classroom, lead mentor-led clubs and contribute behind the scenes in countless ways. During the school year, the mentors plan and run our monthly reunions and participate in our weekly tutoring sessions with the middle school Scholars.

In their roles as mentors, these Upper School students exemplify such qualities as hard work, enthusiasm, integrity, honesty and kindness. They are continuously challenged to think about issues of inequality and access, to consider what it means to be an effective leader and positive role model, and to reflect on how they can give back to their community and have a meaningful impact. This introspection fosters personal growth and a sense of responsibility among our mentors.
