Hackley Squash Teams Post Impressive Results

On January 11, Hackley Girls' Squash had a great win over visiting Sacred Heart. The boys team beat perennial power Packer Collegiate who boasts the number one player in the country. Congratulations to both teams!!

The girls won the match 4-3 behind exceptional performances across the team. LiliAnna Khosrowshahi ’18 got the team off to a great start, rallying to win her match 3-2 after being down 2-0. Meghan Chen ’17 and Nina Mital ’21 followed-up with 3-0 wins. The final match of the day came down to Hackley’s number one player, Riya Mital ‘17. With the match tied Riya showed her true grit and determination winning 3 games to 1. Hackley is currently 8-2 on the season.

The boys' match was won 4-3 with Ryan Chen ’21, Will Ezratty ’19, Tucker vanEck ’17 and Pat Walker ’18 all posting decisive 3-0 victories. This is the first time in recent memory that Hackley has beaten Packer. The team is currently undefeated on the season.
