Hackley Track & Field Athletes Shine at Ivy Championships

The Hackley Boys and Girls Track & Field teams both performed well at the Ivy League Championship meet at the Armory Center in New York City on Thursday, February 16. Both the boys and girls teams placed third overall. Congratulations to all our champions and the entire team for all their hard work and success! Read on for details....

On the girls side, senior Ivie Uzamere was crowned shot put champion, senior Hannah Urken won the 55 M Dash, and the 4x200 meter relay team of junior Laura Walter-McNeill, senior Lucy Barse, junior Carolyn Santangelo and Hannah Urken took home the silver medal.

The boys team crowned a total of 6 Ivy Champions. Junior Onye Ohia-Enyia (300 M and 600 M) and senior Amin Mustefa (long jump and Triple Jump) both came home with two championships while senior Winston Britton won the 55 M dash and senior Jordan Patrick took top honors in the Shot Put. Senior Craig Johnson took home a bronze in the 55 M dash.
