Softball Wins 3rd Annual Hackley Tournament
The Softball team had a great weekend posting resounding wins over Holy Child, 13-3 and Masters School 13-6 to win the Hackley School Softball tournament this past weekend.
This is the third consecutive win for the Hornets in the three year history of the tournament. The Hornets were led by solid hitting, excellent pitching and strong defensive performances. Sophomore pitcher Dana Van Buren had 16 strikeouts and only gave up four earned runs on the day. Senior Amanda Patterson made multiple catches from center field that put an end to any opposition rallies. Despite the poor weather the team also belted out 26 runs. It was a nice weekend for the team that now looks forward to resuming league play later this week.
