Hackley Girls Lacrosse 2017

The Hackley Girls’ Lacrosse team had another successful season in 2017. Returning 17 players from our 2016 Ivy and NYSAIS Championship squad, and adding seven rookies into the mix, the team worked well together from the start.
With a key early win over Rye Country Day, the team knew that they could compete with anyone in terms of talent, teamwork, intensity and desire. They proved to themselves that they were a team to be reckoned with. At the end of the regular season, the team posted a 13-2 overall record and a perfect 12-0 record in the Ivy League, capturing the Ivy League title and remaining undefeated in league play for the 6th straight season. LiliAnna Khosrowshahi ’18 reached 100 career goals this season and led the team in goals. Unfortunately, the team lost its last game in the NYSAIS championship to the top seed Rye Country Day in a close and well fought game. Nevertheless, the 2017 team represented all of Hackley’s positive ideals and upheld the exceptional legacy of Hackley Girls’ Lacrosse excellence.
